Antara is a personal happiness tracking app. The data you enter is yours. This policy explains exactly what we collect, why, and how it's protected.
Who We Are
Antara is operated by Alejandro Gutierrez, an individual developer. You can reach us at support@getantara.com.
What Data We Collect
Data you enter directly
- Daily check-in scores (1–10)
- Mood ratings and labels
- Free-text reflections
- Happiness source rankings
- Pairwise comparison responses
- Names of important people in your life
Account data (optional)
Email address, if you choose to create an account. If you use anonymous access, no identifying information is required.
Usage and analytics data
- App events (e.g., screens visited, features used)
- Device type, OS version, and app version
- Crash reports and performance data
We do not collect your name, phone number, payment card details, or location.
How We Use Your Data
- To deliver the app's core features (check-ins, insights, reflections)
- To improve the app based on usage patterns
- To respond to support requests
- To send product updates if you joined our waitlist (you can unsubscribe at any time)
We do not sell your data. We do not use your data for advertising.

Your personal data never leaves EU-based infrastructure. The Claude API is called only from our secure backend — your data is not sent to Anthropic from your device directly.
Data Retention
We keep your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, all your personal data is permanently deleted within 30 days.
Your Rights
Regardless of where you live, you can:
- Access all your data via the in-app export (CSV)
- Delete your account and all associated data from within the app
- Correct any data by updating it in the app

GDPR (EU/UK residents)
You have additional rights including the right to restrict processing and the right to data portability. Email support@getantara.com. We will respond within 30 days.
CCPA (California residents)
We do not sell personal information. You have the right to know what data we collect and to request deletion. Contact support@getantara.com.
Data Security
Your data is stored in Supabase (EU), protected by row-level security policies, encrypted at rest and in transit. No human can browse your reflections.
Children's Privacy
Antara is not intended for children under 13 (or under 16 in the EU). We do not knowingly collect data from children.
Changes to This Policy
If we make material changes, we will notify you via the app or by email. The "Last updated" date at the top always reflects the current version.
